Non-Disclosure Date: Deadline to drop a course if you do not want it to show on your transcript.

 

Graduation Interview

Log into the “Class of 2025” Google Classroom to access and complete the Graduation Interview. You can use your OSS to help you complete the interview that is also linked below. 

 

Post-Secondary Planning

Are you unsure of your career goal? Discover careers you have never heard of that might be meaningful and well suited to you: 

  • Check out this Career Planning Tool.
  • Visit the graduating class Google Classroom to access and complete “The Career Pathway Planning Tool”
  • Visit My Pathway Planner and completing the “Who Am I?” surveys and viewing the “Match Results”
  • Speak to adults you know and asking them about their careers
  • Connect with your Guidance counsellor

Post-Secondary Applications

Fees: 

  • $150.00 for 5 program choices with no more than 3 at any one college
  • No additional choices can be purchased 

Do your research at www.ontariocolleges.ca.

Fees: 

  • $156.00 for three choices
  • Applicants who wish to select additional programs or universities beyond the first three choices must pay $50.00 for each additional selection
  • International service fee: $10
  • Supplemental Program Fees: some universities charge additional fees for certain programs to cover the cost of individual faculty admission processes; it is non-refundable and you pay it along with your OUAC application fee

Researching Post-Secondary Institutions

Before researching and collecting information about schools and programs, review/consider factors that might impact your decisions.  

Do your research:

  • visit university, college, apprenticeship and workplace application websites
  • visit individual university, college, apprenticeship or workplace websites
  • use resources that compare institutions (eg. CUDO)
  • interview students, graduates or employees
  • review post-secondary literature, viewbooks, media
  • visit post-secondary institutions or workplaces for tours
  • attend post-secondary pathway fairs

Create a list of factors that are most important to you, consider:

  • size of campus
  • setting of campus (urban/rural)
  • location (proximity to home)
  • competitive or popular programs
  • specialized/unique programs (international, etc.)
  • residence/housing
  • transportation
  • class size
  • special education services
  • teams/clubs
  • extra help/tutoring
  • libraries, computer labs, other educational facilities
  • career planning services
  • social & recreational opportunities/facilities
  • meal plans/food
  • part-time employment opportunities
  • financial aid, scholarships and bursaries
  • tuition fees
  • graduation program opportunities/professional programs
  • admission requirements
  • transfer opportunities to other colleges/universities
  • mental health support
  • experiential learning programs/opportunities (co-op, internships, etc.)
  • post-graduate employability/job placement
