What Can You Expect at SDSS?

At SDSS, you’ll find strong academic, technological, arts and athletic programs, along with a wide range of opportunities to explore your interests and plan for your future. Our caring staff and engaged students work together to build a positive school culture where everyone belongs and can succeed. SDSS

- Has 4 reporting periods - 2 mid-term and 2 final report cards
- Has a current student population – approx. 1300
- Has a1:1 program.

Transitioning to Secondary School
We are here to support students in their transition to Grade 9 and throughout their high school years. We take extra care to ensure Grade 9 students feel welcomed, prepared and supported. This includes:
- Grade 8 transition supports, including visits to feeder schools and open houses
- welcome and orientation activities
- academic and well-being supports
