Geography

Geography has changed. 

It's not just about maps (although there's nothing better than a good map!)

The goal of geography is to develop a sense of place by answering the questions:

  • What is where?
  • Why there?
  • Why care?

Technology is an integral part of today's geography.

Showcase

Students will be exposed to some available computer software programs in their geography classes.  The above grade 9 student maps were made using Arcmap (a Geographic Information Systems program).   Students will also use Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Power Point, Prezi,  Google Docs, Google Earth and Canva.
